My stay at Big Cypress Lodge was a mix of very nice service and some drawbacks. The friendly staff made me feel welcomed, especially with the nightly delivery of warm cookies, which was a good touch! However, I encountered some issues with cleanliness in my room that detracted from the experience. Overall, it was a unique and nice stay amidst the charm of the pyramid, but there’s room for improvement.

Rooms
8.0
I loved my spacious Premier King room with a balcony overlooking the unique indoor store. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the tub was huge, perfect for relaxation. However, there were cleanliness issues that needed attention, which was disappointing.
Service
7.0
The staff provided excellent customer service throughout my stay. From the valet to the front desk, everyone was friendly and accommodating. Jason, the bellman, was particularly helpful during check-in. Unfortunately, my experience at the Uncle Buck's dining area was quite the opposite, with unhelpful staff that made ordering a frustrating affair.
Location
9.0
The location was convenient, about 10 minutes from Beale Street, and I appreciated the free shuttle service that made exploring easy. The views from the top of the pyramid and the rooftop restaurant were amazing!
Dining
5.0
While the idea of having dining options within the hotel was appealing, Uncle Buck's service left much to be desired. The food quality was inconsistent, and I found the atmosphere darker than what was advertised, which really affected the overall dining experience.
Facilities
8.0
The amenities offered were fantastic, with activities such as bowling and shopping right on-site. I also enjoyed the nightly cookie delivery and the rustic lodge atmosphere, though I did wish for more attentive service at the dining venues.

I had a great time at Big Cypress Lodge, with its unique atmosphere and spacious rooms making my stay feel special. The nightly cookie delivery was a good touch! However, I found the shuttle service lacking and the food options limited, which took away from my overall experience. Overall, it’s a place worth visiting if you're in Memphis! 😄🏨

Rooms

The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and allowed for easy use of the impressive bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and rain showers.
Service

The staff were consistently friendly and eager to assist, but the concierge service felt stretched and could use improvement.
Location

The hotel is situated conveniently with easy shuttle access, which I initially appreciated, but my experience with the service was frustrating and unorganized.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were quite limited, and I was disappointed that meals were so pricey without breakfast being included.

With exciting amenities like a bowling alley and beautifully themed decor, the facilities were enjoyable and added to the experience. However, I faced minor housekeeping issues.

5.4/10

I had a mixed experience at Big Cypress Lodge. While the unique interior of the pyramid and the friendly staff stood out, I was disappointed with the dark atmosphere and the service issues, particularly with room service and housekeeping. Overall, it was a nice concept but several flaws detracted from my stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room layout was nice, featuring a balcony overlooking the store. However, the thin walls made it hard to enjoy a peaceful night, as I could hear noise from neighboring rooms.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and eager to assist, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the room service took way too long to arrive, and my requests for housekeeping weren't met promptly.
Location
8.0
The lodge is conveniently located near downtown, making it easy to explore local attractions.

The overall amenities were somewhat lacking, considering the price. The absence of a microwave in the room was notable, and I wished the terrace was open for more enjoyment.

5.2/10

My stay at Big Cypress Lodge was quite an adventure, with its unique pyramid shape and rustic lodge theme creating an lovely atmosphere. The spacious interior room I booked was comfortable, featuring a jacuzzi and a balcony that overlooked the vibrant Bass Pro Shop. However, I did encounter a few issues such as limited breakfast options and inconsistent housekeeping service which detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and themed as a hunting lodge, complete with comfortable bedding and a balcony to enjoy the view. However, the room was somewhat dark and required a request for daily cleaning.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and willing to assist, yet there were lapses in communication regarding housekeeping requests that could use improvement.
Location
9.0
Its location is excellent for exploring Memphis, with a free shuttle that made getting to attractions easy. I appreciated how convenient it was to access popular spots like Beale Street.
Dining
7.0
The on-site dining options were good, although the menu was somewhat limited and on the expensive side. I would recommend experiencing the view from the restaurant even if meals didn't quite match the price tag.
Facilities
8.0
There were plenty of on-site amenities, including a bowling alley and various shops. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary snacks available in the room, which added a nice touch to my stay.

6.8/10

My stay at Big Cypress Lodge was quite the mixed bag. The location is truly unique and the rooms are nice, but I faced several frustrating issues during my visit. While the atmosphere was neat, dining options could definitely use improvement, and the customer service left something to be desired. Overall, it was nice, but not entirely in a good way.

Rooms
7.0
I enjoyed my spacious ADA room, but there were no accessible power outlets near the bed for my medical equipment. It felt inconvenient, but the room itself was well-designed.
Service
5.0
I'd say the service was a hit or miss—some staff were helpful, while getting assistance from the front desk was frustrating. I often ended up on hold or unsure if I'd get a callback.
Location
6.0
The hotel has a captivating theme being in a pyramid and near Bass Pro, but the view from my room was underwhelming, mostly looking at the parking lot.
Dining
5.0
Dining at Wahlburger Wild was disappointing. I paid quite a bit for an overcooked burger with no sides, and I left feeling still hungry. The limited dining choices didn't help either.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities like the bowling alley and the free shuttle service were pretty cool, but I didn't find the food options up to par, which detracted from the overall experience.
